MVP done, PRO version is ready: Starting Marketing & Seeking Advice

Hi Indiehackers!

I spent a good chunk of this weekend finalizing my app, which allows for the sending of personalized emails. Initially, it was entirely free, but I've since introduced some PRO features accessible via an activation key.

So, what's the current situation?

  • Launched on Product Hunt, featured in an article on SideProject, and shared here.
  • Achieved 44 downloads.
  • Receiving about 20 visits to the landing page daily, mostly direct with a significant portion from China, though the exact source is unclear.
  • Averaging 2 downloads per day.
  • The web-based version is getting around 15 visits.

My ambitious goal for this month is to hit 1000 downloads and secure 60 sales. It's a stretch, but I'm up for the challenge.

My strategy includes:

  • Submitting to all relevant startup and app directories.
  • Writing and sharing articles on blogs, Reddit, etc., targeting professionals in marketing, sales, and HR.

I've also created a video and am considering YouTube promotion, though I'm wary of the costs for such a small project.

What are your thoughts? Do you have any recommendations for cost-effective marketing channels suitable for a project like this?
