Perhaps I am just late to the party, but I was blown away with how easily you can create an animated video with just Keynote and iMovie.
For background, I am the solo founder of a Data Labeling platform called Mindkosh AI. I dont have any experience with animation or design. I wanted to create a simple intro video for the platform, so I started looking for an animator on fiverr. The ones that I liked wanted atleast $500 for a 30 second video, which is not a lot to be fair, but I thought it was worthwhile to try doing it myself.

It took me one day to learn the basics of Keynote, another to come up with a basic design and video flow, and one day to create the actual animation.
If you want to start animating with keynote, I would suggest you look into the three elements of animation in Keynote - Build in, Action and Build out, and how to order them with Build order. If you want more control over your animation, checkout out Magic move which is absolutely amazing. But in my experience, for something basic, you won't need to touch magic move.
Once you are done with your animation, use iMovie to add a soundtrack. One great thing with iMovie is that it automatically matches the end of the soundtrack with your video. So you won't get an abrupt ending to the sound.
What is your experience with creating such videos?
