Hi everyone,
flat.social is a video conferencing app for hosting fun online meetings and virtual events.
Participants can move freely around a virtual space (a flat!) and speak with others around them, engage in team activities or use it as a real-time canvas for brainstorming.
Here is a one minute demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO3rN7sVn_A
I've been working on it solo since April last year, iterating with feedback from beta users who hosted meetings and guests of events that I've organised myself (including an xmas party which ended up much bigger than expected).
It's still mostly in a side project stage that I'm experimenting with. There are currently three main use cases that flat.social is used as: a virtual space for remote teams, distance education and a networking space for online events and conferences.
So far, great majority of users came from Reddit (<3). I'm planning to release in more channels (Product Hunt, Show HN) this month and I'd love to hear some feedback from fellow Indie Hackers before I do so :)
PS. Apparently I'm not allowed to put a URL in the title (name of the project is an url...) hence the weird spacing.
