Looking for marketing partner for dev-product ๐Ÿ‘€

Background

I'm a passionate developer and Indie Hacker. When I get home from my job (which is about writing software), I write software. I simply can't let it go. I'm 28 years, and I started getting interested in software development when I was 12.

I managed to get featured on the History Channel for a previous product called Fablelane, I managed to get featured on Techzilla TV with my clipboard manager Shapeshifter, and I was interviewed by Wired magazine at age 21. I have countless open source projects, one of which is being used by the Amazon AWS team in their SDK.

Despite the above successes and a great career, all my projects have eventually failed over the past 10 years since I started entrepreneurship on the side. Some have definitely failed because I lost faith in the project, but I feel like most have failed because of poor marketing.

The present (and the current problem)

Now, I am working on Dogger (more specifically, Pull Dog). I got my first paying customer recently, and the reception of the product is great among its users.

However, I find marketing absolutely exhausting. It's really killing my energy. I can write code all day long, but as soon as I know that I need to make some blog posts, I instantly get exhausted. Sure, I do it because it's necessary, but I definitely don't enjoy it.

I feel like that's really what's holding the product back. The product is ready to be tried, to be loved by all the potential users out there. It's such a shame really because it has a lot of future potential.

So, is there anyone out there who's great at marketing and wants to partner up? Let me know, and let's have a chat.

More about me

The above post may seem like a huge show-off. It was actually uncomfortable for me to write, but I feel like it's important for a potential partner to trust in my development skills. I'm not interested in making all the decisions, and I am good at putting trust in others' skills too.

My LinkedIn profile also has a couple of recommendations of me from various colleagues and partners in the past that could be interesting to read if you still have doubts about what kind of monster you're partnering up with.

My Twitter handle is ffMathy in case you want to chat in private.

Edit: By "partner" I mean someone I can share everything with, including income, ownership, etc. I don't have sufficient funds to pay for someone to do it for me, so that's all I can offer.

@ffMathy Dogger sounds like a product solving a real problem. Spoke with couple of developer friends and they gave me good feedback. Can we connect and chat on how we can collaborate? Here is my linkedin profile - https://www.linkedin.com/in/maruthisandeep/

Love your passion, and it clearly looks like you're a rock-star developer.

I'm a Product & Marketing guy, but unfortunately I focus more on mainstream B2C projects. Not so much products aimed toward developers.

Regardless, I'm going to follow you, and keep an eye out on your progress!

Hey Mathias, I don't have particular experience doing marketing for developer tools but I am happy to chat more with you. I agree that many great products sometimes don't get the traction they deserve because of poor marketing/missed opportunities. If you think my background would be of help (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jilliangohzy/), do reach out!
