    Webflow. Great visual builder. Terrible CMS. If those were the only options in 2021, I'd rather do Headless WordPress + NextJS or Gatsby than Webflow. Even better, Sanity or Contentful + NextJS.

      Curious why you think the CMS is bad?

        For one, a terrible editing experience. Clients I've onboarded to Webflow have really struggled with the editor(s). General feedback is end-users prefer WordPress, Squarespace, and even Wix over Webflow. Changes save inconsistently. The editor is buggy. And as the developer, I don't have much control over the editing experience. Other CMS systems provide a much greater ability to fine-tune the interface and implement controls. Within the designer, there is also very limited logic when inserting collections on pages.

          Fair enough and thanks for the quick reply. Reason I asked is because I've not long set up my website on Webflow and didn't find the CMS to be that bad to use in terms of UX. However, in the case of your end users who may not be that techie. It could be considered a bit of a faff.

    Was Wordpress better than Webflow in 2020?

    Webflow is an amazing tool! And also so frustrating when you want to go a bit in a real web app. The fact you can't hide API keys to play with other services or external dbs is sad :(

    -> Light and faster loading
    -> SaaS focused themes
    -> Free hosting for basic functions
