Roast my Product Explainer Video

We've created a video to go in our landing page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okx9GCteuSk.

I would love to get feedback on the following:

  1. Whether the video explains what we're trying to build
  2. Length of the video (should it be shorter, longer)
  3. Voiceover and background music (is the voice clear, relatable)
  4. Things we can do to improve it

Our website (in case it is needed for reference) is https://www.vadelabs.com/

Does the video explain what we're building?
  1. Yes, it does
  2. A little, but not entirely
  3. No idea about the product

Hi! I like the first 20 seconds where you introduce the problem and product. However, for the 20 seconds after that, the written text in the video doesn't really match the spoken text. To me as a viewer, that feels as a bit of an information overload, since I need to listen to what's being said and simultaneously read what's being written - the two of which are different.

For example, when the voice says "Vade Studio provides integration with dozens of data providers so you can provide..." the written text already says "value", "customers" and "quickly". I'd prefer for those words to pop up simultaneously with the matching text being spoken.

Then on the next slide, there's quite some text with "Choose from 100+ integrations for all your API needs" and "Code your queries with auto-generated as well as your own APIs", which aren't being spoken. So I feel like I need to remember both what the voice is saying and the text that's being written.

In conclusion, I'd prefer for the written words to pop up when they're being spoken, and not to include written words that aren't being said. Like you did with '100x reduction in API responses', which is very clear. I hope that's helpful!

Thank you for the feedback, this is very helpful. I'll update the video so that the text coincides with the words spoken as you suggested, and reduce the information overload.
