Challenging Our Customers

Customer outreach is hard work.

We've come a long way but there's still a lot to learn! In this video I talk about three things that are helping us get better at finding, talking with, and converting new customers.

  1. Website - we need the landing page to be the perfect window display for our business. Not too much so as to throw people off, but just enough to get them interested and to come inside (book a demo).

  2. Follow up - it took eight (8!) follow up emails to book a follow up call one of our potential customers. Keep it up until they give you a yes or a no - you never know what could happen.

  3. Challenge the customer - it's really difficult for people to understand what exactly you are from a single email. In many cases people will push back or say they don't have time. If this is the case, artfully push back and use it as an opportunity to educate them on why you make sense.
