Need advice for affordable analytics platform

Hello friends.

Yesterday I was watching a talk on YouTube Building Product by Michael Seibel . I've got inspired and decided to follow his advice to install some advanced user-tracking tool in addition to Google Analytics, that I'm already using.

I've opened Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Heap websites to check the prices and my jaw dropped.

I currently have around 30k monthly sessions, but I didn't really figure out any working monetization strategy, so my project doesn't earn much. I'm experimenting with AdSense, but it's really peanuts so far.

For 30k monthly sessions:

  • Mixpanel wants > $212.42 per month
  • Heap plan is starting at $12,000/year
  • Amplitude wants me to contact the sales team (which I guess can not mean anything cheap)

It might be that I'm cheap, but it feels like a reap off.

Please share in the comments which platforms for user behavior tracking do you use and how much do you pay.
