Hey fellow indie makers!
On June 2020 I quit my job with 1 year of savings. Every week since then I document what happens behind the scenes and share all of my learnings with the Indie Hacking community!
The last week has been pretty challenging for me. I launched a new idea on YouTube that took me lots of courage and energy but I finally did it.
- I officially launched a new livestream show on YouTube called "UX sessions for indie developers". On every episode I help and coach fellow indie makers to improve their product UX.
- I published the 1st episode where I worked with Scotty from pandasnap.io on his product onboarding. We talked about:
- What's the goal of onboarding
- What are the most common UX patterns
- Is onboarding a one time thing?
- We did a live user-testing session of his onboarding flow
- We did live design improvements on his products' empty states
- I published the 2nd episode where I worked with Matt from https://sredability.com on the loading states of his checkout process. We talked about:
- The basics of loading states UX
- Why thinking offline first is the key to all design challenges
- What are the most common loading UX patterns
- We designed together the loading state of his app
- We canceled the Feedback Friday livestream show we started some weeks ago since it wasn't aligned with our individual goals anymore. Less is more. Do one thing and do it well.
- I announced the 4th round of 1-1 UX sessions for fellow indie hackers and all sessions got booked in 2 hours! The previous one took 24h. That's a good sign. People seem to love them 😍
- I started experimenting with new morning routines and went for skateboarding at 7:30am! It was fun, maybe I ll try it next week too. Here is a beautiful photo of the sunrise in the skatepark.
- I made 5 more sales of my UX course! I've made 48$ in total so far! 🤩
Finally, if you liked the livestream show idea, feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel! I am planning to publish at least 1 new episode every week 🙂
