The photo line item bit is smart because the awkward part for me was never sending invoice #1, it was the followup once the client said they still needed proof of work. I tried plain PDF invoices first, then email threads with attachments, now I'm building ChaseFlow around the reminder-2 side after the invoice is out, imo proof baked into the invoice probably cuts a lot of that back-and-forth.
That's a great point, and it's actually very close to why I added the feature.
The invoice itself wasn't the difficult part—it was keeping the supporting evidence together with it. For service businesses, photos are often just as important as the invoice when a client asks, "Can you show me what was done?"
My goal was to make the invoice a more complete record by letting users attach proof directly to each line item instead of managing separate emails or folders.
ChaseFlow sounds like it tackles the next stage of the workflow after the invoice is sent. It's interesting to see how different products can solve adjacent parts of the same problem.

Yes, the “visual proof of work” aspect is exactly the problem I was trying to solve. In many service jobs the invoice itself doesn’t tell the full story, so people end up sending photos separately through email or messaging.
So far the strongest resonance seems to be with contractors and field service professionals — especially repairs, installations, and maintenance work where clients sometimes ask for confirmation of what was done.
Freelancers can still use it, but the photo feature seems to matter much more for service-based work.
Still early though, so I’m watching which users come back and create invoices repeatedly. That should make the real niche clearer over time.
