Please give feedback on my open source project's demo video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sqpYXeiwSE

The open source project is a framework for cloud-native applications and infrastructure from code, allowing you to build in your favorite language and deploy to any cloud.

Some questions:

  • Is it clear what it does?
  • Does it make you want to try it out? Why or why not?
  • What would you want to know next?

We're planning to add voiceover to help explain more, so it would be helpful to learn what questions you have.

Thank you!

In general, for me, it's very clear what it does.

I do have a few comments:

    1. I really like short videos, but this one was too short for me. I felt I was willing to invest at least an additional 1-2 mins to learn more. An obvious choice would be to show how you can switch from one cloud provider to another, but I'm sure there's a lot more stuff you can show.

    2. I think the explaining text is either too big, too bold, needs more spacing, or all of the above. Mainly because it distracted me from the CLI and code.

    3. The visual effects (emojis) were also a distraction for me.

    4. I think the first two slides can easily be combined into one. And the "agenda" slide is not really needed for such a short video.

    5. The autocomplete suggestions appearing in the terminal windows as you type are very distracting.

    6. The first slide mentions "any language" but the CLI options are only TypeScript and JavaScript. This raises questions you may want to address either in the voiceover or with text.

    7. For local development I'd expect to see faster loading times. (In development I'd probably be restarting the server very often.)

    Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for this feedback, it's really helpful!
Appreciate the comments on what is distracting visually, and it's great to know that you would have watched a slightly longer version. This gives us lots to consider for the voiceover and for future edits.
Thanks again for taking the time to give such thoughtful comments. 🙌
