    Really cool.

That trading time for money trap is a tricky part. Sounds like you've explained it to yourself really well 👍

When it comes to the legal stuff. I understand you may have a different risk tolerance and the Germany and EU are known for their regulations. But shouldn't you worry about the legal stuff (other than incorporation) when you actually start earning with your software?

What I mean is you can't predict the actual legal cases that you'll eventually face.

BTW thanks for mentioning the exit tax. It's something stakeholders should be aware of. And it looks like that it gets implemented in other countries too.

      Thanks for the thoughts Raf!

I explained it to myself cognitively, now all that's left to bump into it often enough until the non-brain parts understand as well.

You're right about worrying about the legal stuff. It feels risky (will I be able to move to the "ideal" company structure without gotchas, will I be taking more risk than necessary...), but probably it's yet another overengineering stupor. That first project probably won't be sold, and will not make amazing amounts of money. Even if, the risk of both is manageable. Starting simple, and doing it better for the next one might be the way to go.

Nice to hear that knowing about the exit tax is useful knowledge :)

True. Even if it won't work out for the first product, you'll already have the knowledge for the next ones 👍

A few insights around formulating goals, and not being dismissive of not-directly-paid-work. Otherwise, I hit a wall researching details around incorporating and other legal requirements. The video contains some thoughts and considerations around that topics. mostly unanswered questions though. Next up: to the law cave!
