Hey everyone, for most of my career I have focused on Android development. More recently I've been finding myself wanting to get back into web development so that I can start using newer cloud technologies as well as having some more freedom when it comes to building a new product and business.

This video documents my journey with learning Ktor in 7 days which allows for server side development in Kotlin, it seems similar to Spring except it was built for Kotlin as opposed to Java.

I wanted to share this with others to see who else is using Ktor for their own development. For folks that aren't using Ktor today I'd be interested if it's on your todo list of technologies to check out or if you aren't interested at all.

Thanks in advance, can't want to chat about this more with everyone ☺️

I've been using Kotlin since it came out, but I have never opted to use it for server side development.

My projects have almost always used Node.js or Ruby (Rails). I would be very interested in hearing about your experiencing learning Ktor and how it compares to any of the other web frameworks you've used.
