What do you think about my first ever video demonstrating feature of my app in less than 2 minutes?

Made this video to show how my app (Produktyf CRM) can be used to organize personal notes.

To be honest this is my first "business" video editing project and it was fun. I have used the free version of DaVinci Resolve video editing software from BlackMagic and find it very powerful and easy to use.

What do you think about the video? Hit me with good and bad feedback.

    I here's my 2 cents: hopefully you won't think it's too brutal:

    1. It's waaaay too slow. No one will look at it, it's to be frank, boring.
2.In the first minute, and I haven't seen anything new or useful that I don't already have in my "Samsung notes" - or any other simple notes app ever
    2. You're showing a phone app in landscape - while there are good cases for it, I don't think yours is. My advice is to make it directly portrait - and in that case, you'll even be able to publish it as #shorts. Which brings me to the next thing:
    3. Nobody cares about seeing you typing... You should use that space to actually describe your app.
    4. Focus on 2-3 things that make your app unique, and describe them on fast forward with a cool + fast upbeat music.

    Hope this helps!

Wow, REALLY appreciate your feedback. Will incorporate it into my next video. Thank you!

My 2 cents: try to avoid using texts. A picture worth thousands of words. What is your value proposition - a few words should describe it.
Is your feature unique? Is your design more user-friendly? Why people should use it?

    I liked it! I think i's pretty clear 👌🏻

I'm not sure if it's just me, but at some point it felt like "tl;dr", I think it depends on where are you putting the video? like in a landing page? to send to your users?

Thanks for your feedback. I am going to add it to the Tutorials/Examples section of the web site. This is too slow/detailed for a landing page.

First off, I much liked reading that you had fun creating it! I think this is a great sign in general 🙂

    Two thoughts:

I think further clarification on the intention of the video is needed: (1) In which context will it be viewed (on a landing page / on a features page / on your YouTube channel / could even be on social media / ....)? (2) Who is the target audience (power users / new users / potential users / people, who never thought about managing notes / ...)?

Then, it's possible to figure out how others did achieve it already.

Personally, I would recommend checking out the videos of Firebase. I think they did a great job at videos explaining their platform. Particularly, this video's intention might be close to your video's intention: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O17OWyx08Cg

    Cheers!

You should replace the explainer text on the left with your face, it's much more interesting and incentivizes to follow along

I was thinking about it, it takes more work to record a clear video and edit to match the screen flow. Maybe one of the next videos.
