I turned a YouTube video into a Habit Tracker app

TL;DR;
This YouTube video tracks your stretching progress & features you if you're consistent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y91ahtvPKk

Hey, my fellow Indie Hackers! 👋

Last week I completed my 700th stretch (15 minutes/day).

My wife said:

"How the f*** are you so consistent with your habits?"

I almost never missed a stretching day since I started 2.5 years ago.

I realized I'm always competing... against myself. I want to be better today than I was yesterday.

Tracking habit completions is my secret sauce... 🧪💥

To help people be consistent with routines, I bundled Habit Tracking + Gamification + Social Proof into this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y91ahtvPKk

Here is how it works:

  1. When you're done stretching, add +1 in the comments
  2. Your account gets created & your stretching counter is set to 1 (or increases if you already have an account
  3. Your comment gets replied to with stats (number of stretches completed, ranking vs. others)
  4. The video's thumbnail is re-generated & the 3 most active stretchers are featured

If getting flexible is on your todo list for 2022, or you want to hang out with like-minded people, go & play with the video 😃
