Making a video for YT is hard

So while my video is exporting I figured I would hop on here and write a little bit about my experience creating my first youtube video. Hopefully, it will be uploaded before I leave for the day.

I realized something today. Our brains have the total wrong idea about what's easy and hard to do. For some reason, I thought that recording the video would be hard and editing it later would be easy, it turned out exactly the opposite. Once I realized that anything I say can be edited later, my brain clicked into the mode of "oh, I can say anything" and the hesitancy was over.

Another thing that people rarely talk about is, that because we are always seeing the end result of a product or media, our brains are tricked into thinking that that was how it was naturally recorded or made. We don't see the fumbling, bumbling failures that are happening behind the scenes.

So I am grateful for the shift in perspective that I got while making this video. Also, I started using Da Vinci Resolve to edit the video, which is Free and phenomenal, after using Canva, which was a horrible mistake.

I don't think the video was good at all. I think it sucked. But I have to start somewhere, and this is me taking the dive. In the future, I'm going to start putting focus on making good content, because I already have the framework and expectations from doing this one.

Here's the link to the video, it would mean so much if you can show your support by watching, liking and subscribing!
