Built a free online video trimmer

Hey guys, over the past week I've been working hard on coding an online video trimming tool that is free to the public -- no account required.

Here is an example of what you can make with it https://twitter.com/michaelaubry/status/1308640571020292096 I made the meme video using the trimmer.

The way it works, is you copy a link from YouTube (like this one for instance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BkXzLvqnkc) then you paste it in the box.

After a few seconds, a minimal video editor will appear. At this point, you can drag the clip handles and trim out the section of the YouTube video you want (up to 2 minutes).

This is great for quick video memes. It's also ideal for sharing clips on social media that have entertainment or educational value.

Here is a link to the tool 👉 https://storycreatorapp.com/tools/video-trimmer

I plan to build a few free tools, my strategy is to use these micro-tools to grow Story Creator and bring a lot of traffic. Let me know if you have any requests. I am thinking about giving away some audio visualizers for free. I think adding text to video would be cool. Open to suggestions.

I am posting to share my work and hopefully offer some value. Please share some feedback, if you tried it out, it really helps.

    Cool!
Let us know about the results. I heard that micro product marketing works great but never heard of any numbers :)

      Definitely.

I have been experimenting with Quora ads. So for anyone searching YouTube trimmer, etc. I'll be targeting them.

I'll also think of other tools and opportunities here.

Hello, may I know why you gave up this tool? the link doesn't work anymore...
Im building a kinda similar tool (create playlist with cropped videos, to avoid boring intros/outros...) and I was curious to know how was it for you after releasing it...
