Our three-month-old AI-based design tool VisualizeAI was acquired for $30K in July this year.
VisualizeAI is a tool that helps architects and interior designers visualize their sketches, prototypes, and designs with AI.
Here's the story.
I've been tinkering around with generative AI ever since I got my hands on text-to-image models last year. In an attempt to understand the space better and become a better early-stage investor, I started building projects to get some skin in the game.
Earlier this year, I came across something called ControlNet and was amazed by what it could do.
My co-founder @rushabtated4 and I have been building products for quite some time now. Rushab, an architect, instantly saw potential use cases of ControlNet in the fields of architecture and interior design. We dug deeper into the workflows of these domains and found a great use case that could help speed up the ideation process. This is how we ended up with the idea of VisualizeAI.
We built out the first version in five days and got our first paying customer in the next couple of days.
This gave us early validation, and we immediately jumped onto growth. We remained committed to enhancing the app based on user feedback while concurrently updating our AI models as needed.
In three months, we got…
…all without spending a single dollar on marketing.
In June, we were approached by an upcoming Canada-based estate tech startup that was interested in a potential collaboration or an acquisition.
Through our discussions, we realized that they were better-positioned to take the project to the next level given that we had a lot more products to focus on.
We deliberated and agreed on the sale. It took us three weeks to complete the transfer.
This marks my second generative AI product sale. Sweet small wins.
For now, I am focusing on growing www.Audionotes.app and www.Podnotes.app. We've done ~30K in the last three months, but this is just the start.
That's a amazing outcome and what speed!
That has to feel amazing! Congrats on the exit!
Congratulation sir!
Great job! I'm really impressed by how you turned your idea into a successful product so quickly 🤯
Amazing, you have 3 successful product.
I have done some keywords analysis for audionotes.app and would like to share you the analysis.
Audio Notes Keyword Analysis
Inside I analyze using the tool that I made which will go tru thousands of keywords related to the target market and industry and then come out with top 100 keywords that you can target when doing blogging.
The analysis include all the needed data such as traffic, difficulty trend and rating.
You love you feedback on it.
Nice journey!
This is a nice story, can you share how you marketed and promoted your products? Thanks.
Wow congrats! Do you feel generative AI apps are getting too saturated these days or is there room for more?
I strongly believe that markets are huge, if you can build a good product and distribute it well enough - there's always room for more apps
That's a very solid point. Thanks :)
Congrats!
Can you please share your strategy.
Congrats
But how did you get 22k visitors in 3 months without marketing? can you please share and can you pay for it I want to grow my pet guinea pig related business.
Congrats.
But how did you get 22k visitors in 3 months without marketing?
Can you please share your strategy for getting real visitors?
I want to grow my design subscription service model.
PH launch, AI Listing Sites, Reddit, Twitter - We largely relied on these channels to distribute visualizeai
Thanks for sharing, I'm preparing for my PH launch.
What is the link?
www.visualizeai.pro
Congrats
Thanks!
Dam dude great idea and execution! If you don't mind sharing what is your tech stack and how did the trial error go on getting a genAI to get the outputs you wanted?
Congrads!!
Tech Stack - Bubble, Stripe, Crisp, Replicate, Loops
getting outputs right is a lot of trial and error - following subreddits on Stable Diffusion did help us move faster
Awesome...Inspiring. Best Wishes. Thanks.
Thanks!
That's awesome, congratulations! But may I ask you why, if the business had a lot of momentum, you decide to sell it? Just curious!
We felt that we couldn't do much with the product and we had a lot on our plate
congrats everyone here has wish to earn.
We had too much on our plate - we were building out three apps and other opportunities seemed more exciting to us
WOW! That's really the dream of everyone out here. Have you considered hiring someone to carry on the project? You can hire for sure some growth hacker in philippines/south america.
Now that we have a portfolio of products - we would love to do that!
Congrats sir!
Thank you!
Congrats bruh! Needed that inspiration this morning tbh lmao
Go for it 🚀
Congrats!!!
Thanks!!!
Congratulations!
Thanks!
It sounds really good. Glad to see that successful journey
Thanks!
Congratulations @vatsal1811!!
I have seen some posts here talking about being acquired, but I feel it would be great to provide more details to the community about the acquisition process (did you try to get another offer? How did you set up the data room? How much in professional services fees did you spend? Etc)
I am a professional working in early stage deals and am surprised with the lack of data available, hence I understand founders will appreciate more transparency here.
Really inspiring acquisition for indie hackers!
Thanks 🙌
