First paying customer

After releasing the MVP of https://sheet2api.com around a month ago, I've been working on it most evenings & weekends adding Use Cases, fixing bugs, adding features. It was beginning to get to me the fact nobody was seriously using it yet.

The community here suggested I email all the users. When I did that, most ignored the email, 10% reported it as spam (👀) and a few replied, positively. One of those said they were very happy with it and showed me a website they were powering using the service.

That's the user that converted to a customer. So thanks for everyone here who suggested that. I'll continue with that route.

Even though it's a tiny amount of money, it's weird how one person signing up to an annual plan gives you a boost 👍.

Congrats on the covered customer! It can be a hell of a slog getting there.

This journey has so many ups and downs, right? It sounds like you're doing the right things. Keep at it!

It sucks when you get those ignores (sooo much worse than nos). It hurts every time.

I think the feeling you got from the conversation makes total sense, even though it's just one so far. It means you're providing real value to a real person. You have something useful! That's worth tons of kudos! Not only for making it there with the business, but also for doing something good for someone in the world. Tons to be proud of!

First of all congrats! Cool concept but you have to show some real use cases, not just the API part, like what can developers able to build with your API(Job board site, Event shows, etc..) and it might useful if there POST request feature to update the sheet(considering your excel sheet as a small database).

POST, PUT and PATCH is supported, see example Docs here https://sheet2api.com/docs/FgI6zV8qT121/characters/#making-requests

I'll be working on some more real world example Use Cases in the coming weeks!

    Congratulations. It's inspiring.

    Never give up.
