    I'm obsessed with routines, especially morning routines, and I incorporate all 3 of these into my mornings.

    Exercise, sleep, and meditation are all nice for regulating your hormones — e.g. less stress, more endorphines, etc. — but one additional factor I also like to consider is the neurotransmitter dopamine (translation: motivation).

    A good way to predictably add dopaminergic motivation to your morning routine is to make sure it includes small but useful routine tasks like cleaning up your office, or putting up the dishes, or reading a set of affirmations, etc.

    Giving yourself little wins like this builds momentum and activates the networks of your brain that orient you toward tackling the "real" projects you've actually planned for the day.
