Hi,
I'm Katt, writer of No-Code Exits.
Since the start, I have been building my newsletter in public.
It helped with:
Validation: I had subscribers before sending out the first issue
Sponsors: Easy to find sponsors, most of the time they contact me instead of the other way around.
Opportunities: People reach out for collabs, and I even got an acquisition offer.
Maker friends: Other newsletter writers DM me, and we share tips and advice. I absolutely love this.
FOMO: People see the growth and want to be part of it (by subscribing or advertising).
Soooo, start sharing your learnings, experiments, and stats on Twitter. It will lead to great things ๐ฅ.
Katt, new to the community and just came across your post. I really loved the clean design of your site. What are you using to produce the monthy update page? Thanks!
Hey, welcome to the most awesome community!
Thank you, I just added it this week so good to hear! It's built with Airtable as backend and Softr as frontend.
Good work here Katt! Yes it seems social proof is a strong force..and building in public is a way to harvest that force.
Thanks!
Hey Katt, I have been following you for 2 months on No-Code Exists & Twitter. I am really satisfied to get your mails to be inspired. The main plus for you is improving step by step without overthinking. You share something by tweet like while talking with your friends in the garden. Such sincere style! Today, I read you decided quitting your job, so it really makes me happy for you and motivated me to start my no-code journey. Best for you!
Wow, I only read this now. What an amazing compliment :) thank you so much! how is your no-code journey going?
Awesome sharing! I love building products but I'm not good at going out there and share what I do. Anyway, I'm convinced that I need to do this but how do I start?
Don't overthink it.
Share small updates what you are doing on Twitter (#Buildinpublic hashtag)
Post a summary now and then on Indiehackers.
I try to think of my Twitter followers as my colleagues. See:
Alright, thanks!
Hey Katt, am doing precisely this for What The Hype newsletter - a biweekly analyst report to breakdown a latest trend to help you find your next business idea.
Does the headline sound alright? Is it too generic? Too confusing? Any feedback from this community would be much appreciated!

Thanks for sharing. Very helpful, very actionable, and very forwards-looking content
really helpful content
Thanks! Do you have a newsletter or plans to start one?
yes we have a product related to LinkedIn Automation https://linkedcamp.com . At IH some told me about newsletter marketing. so we are planning. Do you have suggestion?
I think your primary content should be about helping people grow on Linkedin or lead generations (not about boring product updates ;))
Thanks for sharing!
it's a helpful content
๐ My React newsletter is built in public, including my sponsorship calendar and monthly income/expense/growth reporting:

Currently at 13k subs, 2.5kโฌ MRR
So far it didn't interest many people but hopefully a few will find my journey interesting.
I'm binge reading now, learning a lot so keep sharing these updates :)
Impressive stats! You have 2 languages?
Thanks :)
Yes thisweekinreact.com and reacthebdo.fr
I started with Revue FR, then created a new Revue EN account, then migrated both to ConvertKit with FR/EN tags to segment users by language.
Thanks for sharing!
I actually just started my build in public journey for Hunter Labs.
I can validate how it helps get subscribers before even sending out the first issue.
Building a newsletter in public is one of the best ways to grow.

Thanks for sharing Katt. I would like to start building my newsletter in public. I've been holding back because it's a weekly digest for a closed community. Not sure how best to promote it to people outside the community (even though I think the content will be relevant to others)
That is an awesome idea... I think it will definitely work if you do branding right.
You should ask Daniel for an affiliate link because your content summaries will certainly convince people of the value of the small bet cohort and community!
Let me know if you want to brainstorm together :)
Great idea! I'll speak to Daniel and will reach out to you for help if I get stuck :)
Starting to think everything's always better in public. First time I see it for a newsletter tho โ you motivated me to start one!
What's next for No-Code Exits?
Thanks Lilian, you are always a great support!
Not sure yet, playing with some ideas at the moment :) soon more...
yep, accountability as well - really helps that there is an audience/supporters, even if it's tiny to start with
yes, it feels less 'one way'
I agree with all these points - Iโm also building a newsletter in public (and even send out a weekly update about it).
Iโd also add that I get plenty of good advice as well. Amazed how many people take the time to reply with ideas for solving the problems Iโve shared.
Yes, so true! Absolutely amazing when people do their best to help you.
