7 days postlaunch - $0 spent, 380 unique visitors, 4 subscribers

7 days postlaunch my company Trimmr.ai (https://www.trimmr.ai) has realized figures that I never thought possible. We had 380 unique visitors, 240 accounts signed-up, and 4 subscribers. Importantly though I've spent a grand total of $0 on the marketing strategy and we're on our way to covering operational costs within month 1. I've always wanted to provide a post of value to people, so I hope the insight into building an AI product that will (hopefully) be profitable and how I went about acquiring customers organically.

Create a goal and a vision for your post-launch
I've found that operating in a buzz area like AI (the word "artificial intelligence" gets people off right now) has made it a lot easier. There was a tonne of outlets for me to explore as the conversation was always trending. Twitter and Reddit were fantastic places to chat with the community about the new products. The goal of the launch was simple though - we wanted to acquire a few users in a live environment and see their behavior. We knew that it might not have necessarily translated to an overnight success, but we just needed a good short-term goal we were able to achieve.

Utilize the community
In my opinion, communities are single-handedly the biggest driver in product adoption even in the age of faceless social media. Our strategy at the start was simple - find communities, post in communities, and engage with communities. We found a fantastic response on Product Hunt which saw great spikes in that source. We also found that commenting on videos of similar competitors who were looking for an alternative gave a fantastic return on investment (at a whopping total of $0 per comment, I suppose it had an infinite return on investment).

Cold outreach horrified me but it doesn't anymore
I've previously had discussions that my imposter syndrome with the products I built was holding me back. For this project, I didn't want to affect the product launch. So I held back whatever fear of rejection I had and went out to find users in my niche. Identifying this niche for me was easy, as the tool I use involves YouTubers and, in particular, small YouTubers. I had a strategy I'd use to find these users and would cold outreach to them. We had an astonishing response rate. Around 25% of users would respond and open a conversation.

Overall - I'm by no means saying this is the world's most successful launch. As a wantrepreneur for a lot of my life with failed launches, we're proud to have gotten 4 paying users in such a short period.

Some extra notes on our launch strategy:
• Utilising free directory listings
• Commenting as the business on similar products or videos within the same industry you're operating it
• Take the time to personalise all emails
