I started replying on IH with videos instead of text - what do you think?

Hey all!

Every week I spend time commenting on IH posts and helping fellow makers with UX in the design-related groups.

I decided to rethink how I give feedback and create a video instead of writting a comment.

This way:

  • I can provide way more insights and feedback in less time since I just hit record and express my thoughts and advice
  • I can create and share useful UX videos for my audience, who is interested into growing their UX skills

Here is my first video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVjVaIRAh-4&list=PL3undfzyEbDgtjDdU5iEPEKg3--y48ze-&index=1

What do you think?

The video is way longer than I expected. It may save you time compared to writing, but it takes up much more of everyone else's time. I'd be pretty bummed out if everyone on this site did this, because I'd be able to consume like 6 comments a day, max.

Yeap good point never thought about it, thanks for the feedback!

I did this for a year pretty much -> https://lf.gg/youtube to see the results if you're interested!
It's not time consuming but it can get quite "heavy"

Ah nice you've made lots of videos from what I see, well done!

Yeah I feel it's a bit tricky indeed, I am trying to find the right balance in terms of how many of these videos I am going to create :)

Great idea! Much better way to give feedback imo. Looking forward to checking your videos out.
