A platform that scores online services based on how the handle your data.

Imagine a platform that can easily help you make the right decisions around your online privacy.

With this platform, you will immediately know how trustworthy is an online service (e.g. WhatsApp, Slack, Indie Hackers...) at handling your data. It scores a service using many sources, such as its privacy policy, past data breaches, and security measures.

You can generate a personal score based on the services you use. You can also set notifications when a service you're using is not as trustworthy anymore, and find recommended alternatives.

  • First impressions?

  • Would you use it?

  • Further thoughts and suggestions?

You might be thinking of Duck Duck Go? They use a browser extension to prevent trackers, and gives you a rating for each website you visit on a variety of privacy metrics. Panther looks awesome!

Who is your target consumer? As a reasonably tech-savvy CONSUMER, I care about my data, but not enough to do much about it, and probably not to pay for a service like this, certainly not on an ongoing basis.
However, if I were a business that held data on various platforms / services, it sounds more interesting.

I think this concept is great. With so many tools for entrepreneurs and online businesses, data privacy and integrity are becoming increasingly important. Looking forward to chatting about this with you on Thursday!
