Being Agile

I'm using this post as a sort of train of thought…

Last week was a busy one.

We prepared and finally presented our practice pitch to FAU Tech Runway. Over the weekend we managed to record and rerecord our pitches which we've since uploaded. We're done…sort of!

We know there are more steps in the process, but for the time being it's time to switch back to hitting other targets. We need to focus on expanding the number of companies beta testing with us. We also need to continue working on adding new features.

You have to be agile.

This ability to switch between different goals is something that I'm focusing on more. I'm more used to setting a goal and defining tasks to reach that point rather than jumping around. I'd much rather work something through to completion.

That's what startups are all about though! It's about being agile and moving from point to point. There are a hundred things that need to get done. The key is knowing which order to do things in and to be willing to move on to something else when necessary.

Ok, let's go do it.

So this will be my focus for the week. If I can focus on the tasks that could have the most impact on moving us forward then we'll be making progress. It's about moving the right areas forward at the right time, not trying to push everything along at the same pace.
