    Questions:

    1. Are you targeting hiring managers, HR recruitment managers in businesses or people who screen resumes in recruitment firms?

    2. What is the primary benefit of seeing and hearing the candidate to the target audience you are targeting?

      1. We’re still trying to find product market for. You literally nailed all three of our customer personas. Right now we’re more geared we feel for hiring managers and HR.

      2. I think I see where you’re going here... the primary benefit is it’s crazy efficient as a screening process compared to reading through resumes alone. It’s better for companies who are hiring less specialized roles at it eliminates a lot of “spray and pray” applicants and allows you to find candidates to bring in to interview faster. I think it is more challenging with hiring specialized roles since applicants who have multiple job opportunities may not see the need to go through the extra step. Not validated, but my early assumptions.

Ideally you should do a little more customer discovery before you launch your product. But assuming that this is all you got and don't have access to any more people you can ask questions, let's start with what you have.

As you mentioned, let's assume that you are more geared for hiring managers and HR. What is the problem they are facing right now? Based on what you said, it seems that they are getting too many applicants without the required skills who are just sending resumes with keyword stuffing? And your hope is that if you ask them to record a video, then they won't do it?

How do you know that you will not filter our qualified candidates if you ask them to record a video?

          Thanks for the follow-up!

So from customers that we've interviewed so far we're seeing something like this:

100 people apply for a job
20 people fill out a video screen
          3-5 qualified candidates

The value add is that you're only taking the time to review applications for people who took the time to record their responses which is large time savings vs reviewing resumes. It also is super helpful to see multiple candidates side by side and watch their answers to the same question.

To your point, there is totally the issue of FOMO of missing out. We also have users who are hand screening resumes first to alleviate that, then using the video interview as a replacement to a phone screen (therefore making sure they're not blatantly excluding potential quality candidates.

One of the challenges we have is that one of our customer types (business owner) is someone who usually has little time and could use this to drastically cut down hiring times... BUT hiring usually 1 of 20 hats they're wearing so finding them to care at the exact right time is difficult.

We're focusing right now on organic marketing, and have produced 150+ articles around job descriptions and interview questions (for various job types). Now starting to see those terms rank page 1 & 2 of SERPS, so trying to take a step back and do more customer research & finding objections/challenges
          .

Thanks for feedback. Those are objections we definitely don’t cover and should. Really appreciate it - going to focus on better addressing thoughts like these.
