As the title suggests, does our app signup page suck?
I've been running a Google ad for the past week or so, and the stats are pretty solid so far:
We've got a $10/day ad spend and right now we're at ~8200 impressions. From there, we have 73 clicks and of those 73 clicks 16 have clicked through to view our signup page from the homepage. A 22% clickthrough rate from the site to sign up would be pretty great if people were actually signing up... however, we have zero signups.
It's a free web app, so price shouldn't be an issue.
I've tested the signup process manually so there shouldn't be any bugs.
Wondering if there's something I'm not seeing as there is a severe enough lack of confidence in the product that pops up between viewing the homepage and clicking to sign up to create an account.
Here's our homepage: http://centori.io/
And here's our signup page https://app.centori.io/accounts/signup/
Is there something I'm missing? Or am I overreacting? Appreciate any and all feedback/theories y'all have!
As @mattserel said the page looks awful on mobile.
Yikes - gotta fix that.
That could be the big factor, most of our traffic is on desktop but this week it's been almost 50-50 desktop and mobile, once someone sees that on mobile there's no way they'd come back.
Hey Tyler,
I just went there on my phone and it is rendering kind of funky on mobile. You need to scroll down to see the form and it just doesn’t look right.
I’ll post a screenshot when I’m back by a computer tomorrow if you can’t replicate. Hope this helps!
Thanks!
Love that you're using video on the site! Shoutout to Wistia!
Thanks!
Hello Tyler!
There are a few styling issues with this signup form:
I am not sure if fixing those issues would attract more users to sign up, but at least it would remove the friction.
Thanks for the feedback, will fix those!
I would fix this, "You're not going it alone", to something more direct.
"One email per month full of our best content. No more, no less."
I would say something like premium, high quality content, etc. our best content doesn't sound as great in sales.
I would add some screenshots of the dashboard and list the features provided.
Everything else looks great to me.
Who is your target audience in Google Search...I would probably change that aswell. If you target a generic audience not interested in your tool, you are going to see lots of impressions and not a whole lot of clicks. I would also probably change up the ad a bit to gain there attention and curiosity.
Thanks for the great feedback!
First major ad campaign so I haven't done much with the custom audiences yet, just focusing on the keywords being searched for (in this case it's seo tools, keyword research tools, seo software... etc)
