finding problems to solve

if you're dev who have a day job it's kinda hard to solve other peoples' problem. Besides talking to people, is there any online site to know or find inspiration on what to build?

You can find hints from negative product reviews on websites such as amazon, but that would be for making a better version of someone else’s product.

You could email all your friend’s, family, and colleagues, and ask them what their biggest problems are. Many people appreciate when you try and help them.

You could try and fix one of your own problems, but in all cases you will need to communicate with people to validate the idea. Otherwise you could build something no one wants

If you are a dev and want to do some startup thing, one suggestion is to go to the section "looking to partner up" on this site. Look for people who need tech partners and evaluate the business and the founders to see if it is something you want to do. At the least, it is a practice/experience for your own thing for the future.
