Gaining my 1st Twitter follower

I just joined twitter in hopes of connecting with other indie hackers!

I didn’t do much to earn it. After tweeting once, and commenting on someone else's post, a kind stranger followed me 🎉

It definitely ain't much, but it's a start!

Got any tips for someone who’s starting Twitter from absolute zero?

Same here. Joined a week ago. People follow and then unfollow. Its quite strange.
Ill follow you though .. all the best.

I don't have many followers either.

But thinking out loud, I would say join conversations that interest you. I got some followers from connecting on Indie Hackers. Tweetdeck is a useful tool for managing Twitter. Learn how to search. Follow people that inspire you. Sharing work of other people can work quite well, doesn't have to be a tweet. Experiment a lot. Twitter has way too many features. Still trying to figure it.

It's easier for me to find something that interests me on Reddit than on Twitter. I find Twitter overwhelming.

    I followed you. Good luck!

    followed you.

I'm in the same situation as you so that would be rich to give you any advice. Nevertheless, I followed Daniel Vassalo's Twitter course.

If I had to sum up my learnings: Engage, share value, take part in conversations, DM people. Be authentic

    Just followed you on twitter.

Tip- engage with fellow indie hackers, give value, and repeat.
