I've been ideating on a mobile solution for bill pay that's highly automated, but still need to validate that there's real pain around current methods: manually writing checks, using bank's mobile app, other.
How do you pay your bills?
What don't you like about your current method?
I've done a handful of user interviews and want to continue to gather information. Please share your experiences and feedback. Thx!
My bills are paid automatically because my wife pays them ;)
In all seriousness though, I'm also curious about the pains around paying bills. Not so much the method of payment but more so the shock that occurs when a large bill arrives. I've been experimenting with automated reminders and ways to break large bills down into the weekly budget.
Yeah there's a lot of friction in the way we think about our finances, especially for those living check-to-check or worse. If you're income exceeds your expenses then its easy to go with autopay, but for everyone else, decisions need to be made, and being in the right mental space helps quite a bit.
Same as @smithgeek. My bills are all paid automatically. I'm over 30.
Thanks. We think the focus is on young adults and new professionals but there is a segment of mature adults that haven’t automated.
My bills are paid automatically. Most of them charge my credit card and then my credit card bill is paid automatically from my checking account. I don't really have a problem with my current setup.
that's helpful. thank you. just curious, are you under or over 30?
I'm over 30
