How does our verify email template looks?

Hi IH's,

I spent whole night researching on how to design a email verification email with a verification code.

And finally this is what came out of my research.

I designed it and coded it in plain HTML. Just wanted to share it and get some feedback.

What do you think of this design template?

    I am not an expert, but you talk to the customer using their surname and sign with your full name.

    I don’t like the tone. I would take it as you put you in position of authority and using Director title emphasis that point.
    Why the director replies to support emails?

    One example I have in mind:


    Just reply back to that email in case of any questions and I will respond within (max.) 48h.

      In startup world people want to speak with the founders. Mostly founders and on high positions. And if you do not share your full name it feels like you are hiding something. Where as if you do it makes it super transparent.

      Why the director replies to support emails?
      Because we care :)

    I think you should remove all images from important emails. They could be marked as spam or promotion and you don't want that.

    It waffles on a bit. Keep all that extraneous text if you must, but at least display the verification code big, bold and centred in its own paragraph. Better yet, create a link that looks like a button with a clear call to action.

    My 2 cents,
    Overview

    • Save space for meaningful information
    • Re-organize text for better reading (oder, spacing,..)

    Detail

    • The topic image is unnecessary too big, 1/3 or 1/4 is enough if you want to keep it. Removing it is not a bad option.
    • Highlight the code since it the most important piece of information. Some popular practices are to bold it, or put it separately in a new line with highlight box and bigger font size.
    • Put relevant content into one paragraph instead of multiple single disconnected lines. E.g., group together code guideline, group the 2 ask-for-support sentences
    • Since the verification code is used for verify the email ownership, the "if you don't request..." is more important than just a default disclaimer, my suggestion is to bring it to the main content body instead of the footer (that people will skip it). Btw, the content is weird. Why verification code is part of newsletter subscription?
    • Realign and adjust the padding of the header (product name and slogan).

    Others:

    • Better manage the expectation - If you manage to response 24-48hours so tell the users the 48 hours SLA.
    • Code with Click-to-copy function is also something to consider
