I've been building Proxycurl with a growing team, and we've achieved multi-million ARR in just one year. Fully bootstrapped, no funding. Because of that, I've had my good share of autonomy to dictate the pace of the company and build a strong culture here.
However, starting late last year and through the start of 2023, I've had a bit of a founder crisis. I needed to bring the team and the business to the next level. This can be done by expanding the use case of the current product to reach more users; or by expanding to a different vertical, also to reach more users. I've been stuck at this for a while because it's been some time since I built something new from scratch.
Like any of you Indie Hackers here, we don't give up, and nothing can deter us! So fast forward to today, I'm proud to say that I've successfully built and launched my second product - Sapiengraph. It complements Proxycurl: Targeting completely different user demographics, but helping users achieve a similar end result (if you're keen to find out more about the product, do check it out).
I aim to achieve success faster this time than I did with Proxycurl - now that I've had experience with my first product.
If you've been following me, give me a shout at Product Hunt, where we just launched yesterday! I also launched an offer over there for you guys who are interested in enriching 125,000 profiles for free.
I'll share more of my journey and lessons learned in this second stint of my founder's journey. Feel free to ping or comment any questions you have, and I'll be sure to get to them.
I checked out your blog and it's exactly what I've been looking for (cold email marketing). Dropping it here for others to see: https://nubela.co/blog/revealing-our-124-cold-email-hack-that-got-us-83333-in-monthly-recurring-revenue/
Also nubela.co is super sleek. Congratulations and great work so far :)
Glad you found Proxycurl useful! Hope you continue to enjoy using it.
Thanks for the kind shoutout too!
Nice work, upvoted!
Thank you Jake! Do check the product out and leave me any feedback. Would love to hear from fellow indie hackers.
Congrats on the launch and hard work! Off to read your blog.
Thank you!

Impression aventure congratulations
What tech stack behind your Hugo database for speed and concurrent acess ?
It would inspire me for my next project.
One more time Bravo!!
I have to say that for the most part, the tech really doesn't matter. I know it sucks to hear this as a software engineer. I am a SWE myself and the biggest improvements to the business came when I accepted that the tech itself does not matter.
But if you have to know, we use CockroachDB for our database.
Thanks for your reply
I share the same tech agnostic mindset related database choice.
I did not know about cockroachdb.
This db allows near realtime data manipulation for social media apps like ?
How fast for a single read on a 500M database ?
One more time thanks starting-blocks your wonderful aventure with us.
