Has anyone here successfully built and launched a business with the following requirements on Webflow?
- User login/profiles
- User subscriptions (through Stripe)
- A way to store data with some simple permissions on it (ex: if User X created a new "To Do" then only User X can read/update it)
- A way to use webhooks or something to reach out to some lambda functions I've written every time a new "To Do" is created.
If the answer is yes, I'd love to know what tools (besides Webflow) you used to do it? And do you plan on ever migrating off of Webflow in the future?
I think @bentossell has done a lot of this for MakerPad?
This is exactly how makerpad is set up :)
I used webflow and memberstack
You can use carrd for a site, memberspace is also great for memberships. There’s some tutorials on makerpad.co that should help you get started.
Thanks Ben! This is why I love IH, haha.
I looked into Memberstack, my only question is how to combine them with a database that knows the user and only lets them read data they have access to (if it's sensitive data)? In the Airbnb tutorial, I believe you use Airtable as your backing DB, which was my gut instinct, but you can't add auth to that without code, can you? Thanks!!! I love makerpad btw.
Memberstack has a database itself so authenticates users that way- I use Airtable as a backup (zapier pings users email there for other automations I set up) but all the members and memberships are via memberstack.
Same thing happens with memberspace too.
Both connect data with stripe so the plans, billing, etc are all connected
I've got something similar to what you describe in a screencast, it's just missing the walk through of using a webhook to a lambda function (i'd assume Zapier could take care of that).
It uses Webflow, MemberStack, and Zapier:
