Is my landing page appealing? Do you understand what my software does?

Hi all,

I'm new to Indie Hackers and this is my first launch so please point me in the right direction if I'm doing something completely wrong.

It's been through multiple revisions and I recently redid my signup/ login pages but is the landing page appealing? Is it easy to understand what my service does and who it's for?

Let me know what you think. No criticism is too harsh. Thanks!!

    First Impressions

    • Is the landing page appealing? Yes, I think the theme and content fits well. I really like the how it works section. Simple and to the point.
    • Is it easy to understand the service? I haven't read the FAQs (yet - will read in deeper dive) and I am sure it will be explained there but - I don't understand what the product does from the How it works section. From what I can gather Genie is a social media platform for artists to increase their reach?
    • The whole Spotify integration is very unclear to me and I don't know if you're sharing on Genie or Spotify.

    Deeper Dive

    • After reading through the FAQs its clearer that Genie is a platform for artists to promote their music.
    • Is presave a Spotify functionality or a Genie functionality? If the latter you should be pushing this feature.
    • I don't understand the idea of a 'save'. I am sure its clear to those with Spotify accounts but an interactive demo would be super helpful here.
    • Looks great on mobile.

    1. As the main headline, you want to identify the benefit that the user will get by using your product. Currently you are mentioning a product feature. Change "Helping music artists reach their fans anywhere, anytime with genie presaves." to "Reach your fans anywhere, anytime". But I would still like this headline to be a little more concrete.

    2. Remove FAQs. You need to handle objections in their own independent sub-sections. Don't hide them under FAQs. Create a separate pricing page.

Thank you for the feedback @neeravbm.

      1. How does "Be featured on curated playlists and discovered by new people on Spotify, through pre-saves" sound? Too wordy?

      2. Do you mean FAQs should have their own route /faqs? Wouldn't it be easier for the customer to see if its all on one page?

        1. I don't know what a pre-save is but your target audience might. It's better if the headlines are shorter but you may want to do A/B testing here. You are on the right track though.

        2. No. What I meant is that you need to cover all the important material on the landing page so that there is no need of FAQ. With a separate pricing page, you don't need "How much does it cost?" question. If you have to explain what a pre-save is to your target audience, it shouldn't appear in your landing page's headline. In fact, you can just remove the word pre-save from your landing page and explain the benefits in simpler English which everyone can understand. Create a small section titled "Fast Setup" and cover the answer to "How long does it take to setup?" there. Create a "Contact us" page and you don't need the last question of FAQ.

The design is way to basic. For "artists" you will need something a little more unique.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you have any specific suggestions or resources I could check out?

I could add an active users/ presaves counter, testimonials, an explainer video...
      What do you think?
