Just launched on Product Hunt yesterday.. what's the next step?

Hi,

I just launched my startup, BuildBubbles, on Product Hunt yesterday and curious about the next step. What should I focus next? sale/marketing or next version of the app or something else?

What was your experience after you launched? What did you focus post-launch?

thanks

I think you should really mull over the feedbacks from the PH community as they are pretty experienced people with sharp industry knowledge. Gather this for a week, use the feedback to make immediate product plan changes for next 2 to 3 releases.
The feedbacks are pretty legit but do some research before making these changes.

Definitely, the next thing is marketing. What channels you are using should be prime focus, maybe put up some articles on medium to get those organic views.
Setup digital marketing campaign and see if you can get someone credible to test the product and maybe put out some word on it. Maybe someone from PH community could be helpful.
Sales should definitely be the focus, it anyway is an ongoing thing. It is really smart to have some early adopters, however I think you have come a little ahead of it so either you have them or don't in both cases you will need a sales plan. Maybe find communities where people put out their product like buzzsumo, betalist and the likes of it. This should drive enough traffic towards you, PH will as well :)

I pretty much focussed on the customer acquisition and closely monitored dropoffs, feedbacks, design issues and kind of held off development for two weeks. Then after we crunched the data I laid plan was set out for 2 and 3 release. Since i was in touch with the early customers, they volunteered to try my second and third release. Sales were pushed with few referrals and some early bird signups.

I have been looking at the podcast scenario since pandemic put us in complete lockdown there has been increase in podcast authors however the listeners may have dropped in comparison to pre-covid scenario. It can be a tough space to compete but if you can get the advertisers to work towards your platform it can be a steady revenue line. Podcast platforms have by far the biggest ROI for advertisers.

Hope this helps, feel free to reach out.

    Great one @vasinl upvoted!

I also launched on PH recently, keen to hear your feedback too

I think one immediate action you can take is to follow up with people you met directly and indirectly via PH

Interesting concept and great website design. I am myself a big belevier in the statement you have on the webpage 'More people today prefer to listen rather than read' !
I am exploring product ideas for distributing custom voice/audio content over smart speakers and virtual assistants.
I built a audiobook reader for google assistant (https://blog.speakhub.io/free-audio-books/) and have been exploring ways to create another application which can distribute custom content to users directly on their devices from independent creators.
Would you be interested for a chat to explore possible opportunities for content distribution created via your product?
    Cheers!

Your design is super nice, what tool did you use to make the app example videos?

    1. 1

Thank you very much. My wife draws everything using Adobe Illustrator and I use DaVinci Resolve to edit the video and of course, generate the audio from my app.

Hi, I’m part of a community that just launched where I think it would be a good audience for your product. It’s www.piiba.com

People answer question form each other on 90 seconds audios. Like small podcast bites, so people there might be interested on podcasting. Will send you one of my invites on Twitter, I think it’s invite only
