I've been working on a company that automatically goes through people's website analytics and finds opportunities for them to improve.
Recently, I was doing some deep dives into why my client’s customers were reaching the cart, but not converting. And we found some compelling reasons why, but something else came up.
We figured out how to track customer data in a fascinating new way. We are able to track customer’s interaction on your website in the future and send them personalized emails when they are looking at your products but not adding to the cart and not purchasing. Catching them even before they add something to the cart.
We knew we were on to something when we found an old customer visiting the same item 7 times over two months and then never purchasing. A simple deal or an email would likely have gotten them over the hump. And about 60% of previous customers were coming back, looking at products and not converting.
When I took it to my other clients, we found anywhere from 20%-60% of previous customers were coming back to the site to look at products, not previous orders, and then not ever purchasing.
I’d love to explore this concept with some more people. And I love figuring out how to help people figure out how to improve your website, but sales and marketing really drain me. So, I am looking for someone that gets what we are up to and sees the marketing opportunity and can help me get it into the hands of more customers. Let me know if you'd like to chat.
Hi,
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are trying to do but the case you are describing here is the premise of most modern Email marketing tools out there (Klaviyo, Omnisend, Bluecore etc)
Yeah was going to say
