Pay $100, get 10 users giving comprehensive feedback + video interview on your product.

Hello IH,

As many people are trying to validate businesses here or via other channels, I wondered whether I can get more value from just ad clicks and looking at funnels.

At my recent job, we have been trying to validate a mobile app idea, ran several panels, ran Google UAC, posts in FB groups & telegram channels and I am still not sure what is happening since I am only getting clicks and looking at Google / Firebase Analytics. It gives a top-level idea of where users drop off. BUT! I wanted to see what users are doing in the app and their thought process on while using the product.

What if I can find the users with demographics and properties of your choice and ask them to record a video to help you out with feedback? No cold calling. No hassle. Just feedback.

$100 for 10 users with videos. Your choice of country, demography (not too granular) etc.

Happy to hear your feedback!

Hi, I also thought about this idea recently as it's a problem most people building new products run into (including myself!). While I think you could find a way to make it viable by finding a niche, the biggest issue I foresee is recruiting relevant testers. Browsing IH, PH, etc. I find that 95%+ of products seek to solve a problem I don't have. I could test those products, but the feedback is not going to be useful because I'm not a potential customer. You would need a very large and engaged community to find 10 quality testers for any arbitrary product someone comes to you with. I haven't used it, but it looks like https://betafamily.com/ does something like this already. I know large brands and retailers pay big money to dscout to get this type of feedback. You could potentially model off of them and differentiate on target customer, price, etc.

Agree, its very hard to find something that I would really really need. Frankly I have tested a lot of things and have a hard time sticking to a lot of digital products, and well paying for them is even less imaginable. I feel like we are slowly reaching peak software.

I can find the right users via ads actually and ask them to fill a survey of sorts or even amongst my network. Obviously the audience is the tricky thing but basically I have ways how to find the right people.

Thank you so much for the link and suggestions! Really appreciate it.
