The headline of your site should state the primary benefit the user will get after using your site. I don't see that. Even after watching the video, which has no sound, I don't understand what the site does.

After going through the rest of the page, it seems that your site helps engineering students solve calculus problems? Again, I am just assuming this based on what I saw in the video. I could be totally wrong.

    Please provide the following details:

    1. Who is your target audience?
    2. What is the primary benefit your target audience will get upon using your site?

Hi Neeravbm - thanks for your input. It's a bit of a common thread that I am seeing that my value prop needs to be clearer! Appreciate taking the time to provide your feedback.

      1. Who is your target audience? My target audience is students and educators interested in STEM (high school to university level).
      2. What is the primary benefit? Students will get accessed to crowd sourced questions and answers on a variety of topics across calculus, physics etc. The platform will help students learn by doing and have a community of problem solvers to lean on for help.

So from what I understand, the primary benefit is for the students. What benefit will educators derive from using your product?

Assuming that we focus just on students for now, I have a few more questions:

        1. What are the students using right now to get the questions and answers?
        2. How is your product better than what they are using right now?
        3. What is the main benefit to the students? Is it gaining knowledge or is it passing a test with less studying?

Thanks for the reply. I truly appreciate you pushing me to think about the idea and the value prop.

          1. What are the students using right now? Currently there are a variety of platforms out there that help students learn (Khan Academy, Wolfram Alpha, etc.). These are learning platforms that are focused on delivering content but not testing that it is sticking.
          2. How is your product better? The goal of engineering collective is to create a virtual workspace that replaces the existing solutions (multiple choice, single text box for answers only) with something that can point out where people went wrong and help them improve.
          3. What is the main benefit to students? Gaining knowledge. The more I talk about the idea the more I do not want it to be a tool to help cheat the system - I want this to be something students and non-students can use to solve problems and further their interest in technical topics.

    Hi!
The page appears to me a bit unprofessional. Or maybe it reminds me 10 years ago websites.
I will reduce the width of email form and title.
    Descriptions are way too long.
    Bulletpoint them.
What did you use to build it?
I'm using landen.co and I'm very happy with it.
Take a look at my product cosmopad.org
As you can see I'm in educational field me too.

ps: I'm using desktop, maybe in mobile appears better. Be sure to make it responsive and nice looking also in desktop.

Hi Cosmopad - thank for the feedback!

      • I have just pushed a change that addresses the email form.
      • I will bulletproof the descriptions and possibly make a concise how it works section.

The site itself was made using React and I've built most of the functionality myself.

      First Impression

      • What a cool idea! I think the title and subtitle are great and really captured my attention.
      • The image on the right could be improved - it sees like its more of a render then an actual web page.
      • Bulleted icons really help hit home the purpose and they are concise.

      Deeper Dive

      • Get started and contact us seem to be the same thing
      • Explore: Not sure I understand - copy might be specific to those familiar with similar products (forget messy simulations? How are you different?).
      • Wonder: No subtext on last bullet and spelling error I believe.
      • Discover: I like discover and explore. I think they should be prioritized over wonder.
      • Pricing: clean and easy to understand
      • Overall very clean and professional!
