Roast my landing page

Here's my landing page: https://www.debunkd.io/

I'm planning a big launch soon so I want to optimize my landing page before the promotion.

I also don't mind giving you feedback on your landing page as well

Thanks

your page is nice but add some amazing content

The video at the top didn't play, but that's not the worst part. The design instantly turned me off. If design isn't your strong suit, maybe just use a template from Webflow or another tool.

Feel free to give me a hard time as well https://wols.io ;-)

Hey, just wanted to give some honest feedback: the design and responsiveness aren't great. I would probably use a template from Webflow or something similar. BTW, take a look on (the lack of) margins! Good luck.

Hey.. here's some feedback in no particular order:

    • The site is a bit chaotic and lacks structure. I can't tell what's important and what's not just by looking at the site. It's also pretty inconsistent with widths and sizes of all containers. This gives me an idea of incomplete and amateurish product. Check out "Refactoring UI" book for a very good introduction to basic website design practices. It'll improve your skill 10x.
    • Colours need a bit of work. I don't think colours work well together and you are using too many of them. Check out coolors.co to get some nice colour scheme. Of course, you'll need more than 5 shades coolors gives you, but it's a good starting point.
    • The hero video is a bit too long and boring to watch. Either make it shorter or just do one screenshot showing a mock prompt and the response. Also the research 1 shows video on landing page does not really help conversions.
    • I am confused what the product actually is. The video shows an app, but then there's "install extension" button. So is it an extension or an app? Similarly, screenshots below did not help me figure this out.
    • The website does not seem to be responsive and looks awkward on phone :/

nope. not a roast, but your landing page can have more beauty, try using tailwind css or bootstrap, it would help you. and I think this thing is cool! Go Ahead!

thanks for the feedback! can you send like a sample website you think would be nice?

Okay no roasting. I think it's thorough and clean but I feel like it could use a few more colors and the video doesnt auto play I had to go through the extension link to see it. I'm learning about this now, certain colors are eye catching and keep people on your page longer. Maybe add some bright pops of color here and there?

I also just dropped my waiting list landing page. Love any feedback-- https://npoindexter.squarespace.com/netdo-landing-page (domain in progress).

    • the page scrolls down a bit on load, I guess it's unintended

    • the first line on the website, 'Debunkd - Your AI-Powered Fact Checker with 90% Accuracy' is bad. To elaborate, it makes your product sound unreliable. A fact is (and should be) a fact, which means 100% accuracy (thus the very definition of 'fact'). I suggest you word this differently (I know AI is biased at times and cannot be 100% accurate, that's why I suggest to word it differently/properly).

    • the green 'debunked' logo is way too small

    • the green 'debunked' logo seems misplaced beneath the title/description, I believe you can find better places to position it

    • the text 'Debunkd strives for accuracy but cannot guarantee the veracity of all content; users should exercise their own judgment when interpreting results.' is way too small

    • there's a lot of unnecessary 'white space' (read dark) after the text 'Debunkd strives for accuracy but cannot guarantee the veracity of all content; users should exercise their own judgment when interpreting results.' before the next content section

    • the looks/feel/design seems inconsistent -- a button is smaller and uses dark green while another button is bigger and still green but brighter

    • section 'How Debunkd Can Help' is confusing and causes dizziness due to all items/text being center aligned, try left alignment

    • the animated photo beneath 'How Debunkd Can Help' section is useless -- either use a video or nothing at all (but text)

    • 'how debunked can help' and 'why use debunked' can be merged into a single section -- less is more ;)

    • the rest of the sections are simply ugly and show a very unfinished unpolished and unprofessional product/service

Take these with a grain of salt, just my 2 cents, I'm sure you can improve, good luck!

    Hey, here are some thoughts:

    • Not sure why the page scrolls to the second section on load
    • You allow people to engage with the tool directly in the site which is great, however I would add at least a default prompt to start with, or even a handful of suggested prompts. You can get creative with this, have some funny ones in there. I'd expect a lot more people to actually engage with it this way.

Best of luck with your launch!
