Roast my landing page like you do with burgers πŸ˜‚πŸ”

Hey IH community! I am very close to launching (less than a week) my website BuildFaster. It would be awesome if you could follow it on IH! πŸ˜ƒ

Anyway, to my landing page. View it at buildfaster.netlify.app (I have not bought BuildFaster.io yet πŸ˜‰)

  • help with the copy
  • give design feedback
  • point out bugs
  • and most of all... ROAST IT!!!

Thanks for your time! πŸ˜„πŸ‘

    • I would put some visual at the top beside or below the title.
    • Also add a subtitle text with 2-3 sentences explaining how you achieve your value proposition.
    • And I personally don't like some design choices, like the big offset shadows behind some elements. It's too much. The thick borders and the extremely colorful CTA buttons.
    • The first page needs some more explanation and examples

Thanks! I will edit with those in mind πŸ˜„

    code websites in Minutes.

The formatting here is odd imo. I would choose one of these:

    • code websites in minutes
    • Code websites in minutes.
    • Code websites in minutes

BuildFaster sells high-quality and easy-to-use HTML themes. Our themes are focused on being straightforward and very organized. BuildFaster will help cut the amount of tiem it takes to code your website.

    • I'd change very organized to organized
    • tiem is mispelled
    • BuildFaster will help cut the amount of time... to BuildFaster cuts the time...

I don't think you pay off the headline. Maybe include a demo of how it works so people can see. Or include more supporting info to support the claim.

Also, I think visitors could be left with questions. Are these themes for a specific platform like Wordpress, Squarespace, etc.? Do they work with any of those or none of them? Or is this a meant to be more like a Squarespace alternative? Is this just for the look of the site (that's what I associate templates with) or is there additional functionality?

Finally, you should have someone give it a good proofread. There are some mistakes. For instance, your headline doesn't have proper capitalization. And "well-documented" and "light weight" don't really work under a "What's included" heading, because they aren't things. I would either change the heading or make these nouns.

    Best of luck.

These are all HTML themes. Sorry I will be doing proofreads to fix the copy and make it more clear. Thanks for pointing those out! πŸ˜„

I like your sleeks theme. For some themes, maybe you can add sticky call or WhatsApp button.

I think it looks amazing :) But I'm not expert of course, you know that!

    Cheers,

I like it a lot! Just one thing: on iPad I get a weird horizontal scroll on the right of the About page

Ok I will fix that πŸ˜„πŸ‘

    1. View Themes button in the header should be a different color than text - anything but black.
    2. code websites in minutes just sounds weird to me in general. If you're only going to have one-line take up the above the fold area, I would be more direct about the product "HTML Themes that will make you say wow" (I'm not the best copywriter either lol)
    3. I wouldn't have a bunch of white space in the above to fold either. Remember, you have to communicate what your business is as quickly as possible. I would probably go for a traditional headline, subheading, and CTA and then an example theme shown right below it.
    4. The "What is BuildFaster" section is weird as well. No need to mention your business name multiple times. For this section focus on value you are adding. Is it saving time? Making your site beautiful? Not sure from that paragraph.
    5. For the rest of the page, use more space between the sections. It seems cluttered right now.
    6. Testimonial section should be highlighted differently. A solid or gradient background with same color as your Buy a theme button. I didn't see it at first the way it is now.

very great feedback @roddanan! I will fix these before I launch!
