Everyone loves a good roasting,
Website: https://www.bigideas.guru
Any feedback would be great, but if you could answer the following questions that would be awesome:
- What don't you like?
- How can I make it better?
- Would you signup, if not, why?
Bonus Question
- What help/advice do you wish you had got when you started a business, or what is your current biggest problem? (This will help me create something that will help more people like you)
Thank you!
Love your bold title. And great work with having specific questions makes giving feedback a lot easier!
Don't like: Didn't much like the different categories of people who would be impacted. The website claims to be to see if your idea has startup potential. As a "neglected student"/ "Academic".. need to see more link between "wanting to make a difference" --> "Have an idea that could change the world" ---> "learn to make it more feasible"
How to make it better: Shorten the initial selling points "find out if your idea" (see if you could make it more concise.
Would you signup?: Not at that stage, in the sense that we are going for the idea already + gotten validation. But the "report" aspect would have been super helpful when we were doing market research. As a startup, it's a tricky balance between making progress + limited funds.
Current biggest issue: in terms of validation/research. Since our product is mainly for parents + preschoolers, we would have loved to conduct interviews (primary research). However, with Covid-19, it's been quite tricky since the schools are closed.
Finally, just want to say some things that I liked: seems like a great product, Loving the 'well-researched'/ 'this is serious' feeling that the page is giving, and lovely how you are using facts, such as why testing the idea is so important!
All the best :)
That is brilliant @tulika19, thank you so much for your feedback!
I have had issues with engagement so I thought i would spice it up with a bold title :)
Many thanks for your help!
Haha, the choice of the title did contribute to success :)
And appreciate your positive attitude to feedback.
Wow, thank you for offering to be interviewed. That would be very kind of you :)
In that case, I will message you once we have the beta version out, with some testing questions :)
I was scrolling through your website like I think most people would do. (Not ready every bit of text). Here is what I understood: If I have an idea, you can help me evaluate if my idea is good or not. Somehow experts are involved. But how exactly does it work? In the end, it seems to be all about the report.. which confuses me. At that point I was confused and hit the back button.
I like the heading, it generates some interest, but then, I am confused. What is the process ? How does it work? If you throw a lot of features and benefits at me, it doesn't help but. The section below the heading (if you would target me) must clearly state how it works. Maybe you highlight the steps one would take?
I hope this helps you to succeed with your project!
Thank you soo much for your feedback that is a big help.
I am guessing most visitors would just glance through and try and get a basic understanding of what is going on, and if interested then read in more detail.
