Testing WebRTC video stream

In case some of you guys are as tired of testing WebRTC streams quality with like a million different tools as our QAs you might want to hear this. Our team has developed this Google Chrome extension, StreamTest. You just enable it by tapping on a WebRTC video container with the right mouse button and get a live status on 7 essential characteristics of the stream:

  • FrameRate
  • Video and Audio delay
  • Packet loss
  • Resolution
  • Freezes and stalls
  • Bitrate
  • Video and Audio codec

It also collects data for a downloadable .csv report for you to keep and study later.
