Weekly Standup Youtube Vlog

I’m creating an app and doing a weekly vlog on how I’m tackling it all. Being completely new to starting a business, market strategies and launching something from scratch - I decided that it was easier to track what I am learning by sharing what resources/books I’m using and issues I’m encountering along the way. Recording my progress in video is easier for me than to write a blog.

It also, I hope, will help and inspire others to start learning business and programming. While at the same time, soft marketing my app and maybe get a few testers in return. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The videos lag behind my actual progress by about 2 weeks, but I find that this helps me reflect on what I’ve learned. I’m actually finishing up my app’s landing page and will begin its prelaunch this week.

Let me know what you think.

Obviously my reaction to this is lagging behind you creating it. So here is some general feedback about Ep 0. It's great you're starting out on this. Consistency and effort over time is what will get you somewhere. I am NOT a fan of your pick of Art of the Deal. The book was ghost written by a writer who followed Trump around. Your choice of other reading material I have no real opinion about because I haven't read them.

I would like to say a book that I am currently going through is pretty great. It's called Venture Deals and is written by Venture Capitalists in Tech. It may or may not be important to you. It talks about fundraising and the mechanics/processes of it.

    All the best,
    Daniel

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I was not assuming that everyone would find any of the books their cup of tea. It’s just what’s working or inspiring me at the moment. 😎

I’ll definitely check out the book you recommended. I’ve been binge watching Silicon Valley on HBO - and find it perplexing and cringe every time Richard has to deal with his VC.😂

Didn’t know there was a book on it!

That show is not too far off from reality from what little I know. It's very entertaining.
