What keeps you going why NOT seeing spectacular results?
I'm doing small personal research for my new video. I will ramble HOW I keep myself in a good mood while building products that nobody uses :)
For the course of two years, I've built about 5-6 projects. None of them was successful. That is sad!
I want to hear your story. What's your strategy with staying in mental shape? What motivates you to keep going?
P.S. If you want to get the video when it will arrive check out my channel.
It is difficult for sure, some times you have other things in life which can take away all the focus from your product, you have to prioritise your focus in such a way that you can get stuff done without being frustrated all the time.
One thing which helps me is to create short goals, for eg small tasks in a trello board which i think i will be able to complete, i put my energy in completing these small tasks without losing the overall focus 😔 Sending 🤗🤗 to all of you grinding and pushing hard, keep dreaming keep going !
Proving to myself I can do it. I have this innate perseverance energy, but I get really exhausted sometimes.
I have an engineering background. Learning and building with new technologies is deceiving in order to build a successful product. I've just recently released a product in the same manner as you described.
The proper strategy to keep yourself in mental shape would be to find a way to get some sense of an award. Building a product nobody uses doesn't feel like an award. Finding a problem, evaluating it if that is something you are willing to solve... This will get you users - and that would feel like an award.
Hope this makes sense :)
What is usually a reward for you after releasing the product that is enough to stay in a good mood? If any.
I see about learning. And that is awesome.
Keeping myself focus on what the end goal is. If your project improves the lives of others and you know your product could help them they just haven't seen it yet then that can keep you motivated to focus on growth.
Good one.
