My idea is about reporting online scammers. Many people decide to work and start a small job online on facebook/email or any other community where they pay strangers to do a specific job. it happens that many of these cases turn to be frauds and those individuals never get the job done, and in worst case scenarios they never respond again after you have already paid them.
my project idea is simple. you apply on the website to report this incident, provide all evidence that a fraud has occurred (emails, WhatsApp message, facebook messages,....etc). we review these and contact the person of concern and try to solve it for you and get a % when its paid back. if it's proven that an incident has occurred but the scammer refused to pay back, then a report is filed on our platform and registered users can see the incident with all proofs without judgment on our end, hopefully, this will enforce the person to payback.
please let me know your thoughts on the idea and if it is legal or not

Hello, I read all your ideas and also the comments, I just set up a small test website to share opinions in order to reduce the scams, and that's why I wanted to ask you if you would like to talk a bit and we could even team up as it seems that we have Common interests, what do you think? :)
please post the link for the test website you made
Hi, Leonardo, we also have made the initial prototype for the idea presented above, we are actually a company of 5 developers and 3 designers, I am the founder, yet I would love to discuss the idea with you. how would you like to communicate?
Wow, you have a small army at your service, on the contrary I am a solo founder
I used to be solo as well one-day :D. sure we can use hangout, belalmostafa30@gmail.com please add me there and we can agree on a meeting time.
That was fast xD, what about Telegram or Hangouts?
The website is www.yotbo.com, as I said, it's a super simple website
What is the $ value of the small job? For me if it was <$100 I would just forget about it vs spending time on chasing that person and move on to get my project done. Where it would be interesting is that say it was $1000 or so going to small claims court takes time - if you could do that for me and get a % that would be very interesting as I wouldn't have to spend my time in court - don't know the legal part though.
Also local courts may not be able to give ur refund of the other person is located in different country. But of I can publish the incident online then borders won't be an issue anymore
A thanks for your reply. Actually the idea is not only for you to chase whoever didn't pay, but also to check on him before contracting. So before working you can check with something like email, phone, whatsapp, instagram, bank account ,...etc. so that you don't get deceived by someone you never worked with
The idea is great, even I had the same idea of making a platform. Because my client stopped responding to me and didn't pay me. Check this: https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/ask-a-better-way-to-ask-payment-when-the-client-stop-responding-c244605a72
So do u think it is legal?
I already have the frontend ready because I started that already, but I am afraid of the legalisation of the idea since it will contain data about people and even direct accuse of fraud.!!!
I am not sure about it's legal or not but you can mention on your website that if anyone has an issue with their data on your website, they can report. So you can remove those data.
I don't know if it's legal or not, but it sounds a great idea, however, as it's online, these scammers isn't easy for them to change their identity online? by changing their picture, name and contact numbers?
yes, this is correct, however, if you have PAID someone to do something, probably you have a REAL identity, whether its a bank account number, PayPal, or something like that. hence, our platform visitors can search by any of these data and see if there is anyone reported with any of these data

Actually I started the whole idea because of a designer who took 50% and disappeared and I had to chase him on twitter, behance and instagram until he refunded.
This is why maybe I get the word "scammers" from. Feels like personal revange rather a business idea 😂😂
So your suggestions is to build it under a title of "unpaid invoices" I really like the suggestion and it even make things less harming for everyone.
Thanks for the suggestion though

Thanks for your follow up. You gave me even more motivation.
If you would like to suggest a functionality in mind that at least you will be interested in, please go ahead

actually, I already have the prototype as PSD for the whole system ready.
but I am very glad to find such an interest.
