Any tips for my landing page?

IndieHackers has always been exceptional for advice and feedback. I've learned quite a lot from the community here (you're all so friendly too).

DarwinMail has gone through thousands of iterations at this stage. Based on user feedback, requests, and things I've learned and applied. However, things can always be improved.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the current design?

Hey Joey, my main question when landing on your site was "Is this a new email client or does it work with Gmail?". I'm guessing it's for Gmail.. in which case maybe you can have a much stronger call to action that also serves to make this connection super clear. Something like "Add to my Gmail" or "Start organizing my Gmail".

In the features section it's a bit hard to see what's going on in those screenshots and I think that distracts from the copy. It might be better to just have a simple illustration next to each feature instead of a screenshot.

You could potentially also link each feature to a dedicated landing page that goes in depth on that feature. There's a lot of cool stuff here but it's kind of feels all crammed together. What if it turns out one of those features is the killer feature for most people but it's easily missed? With dedicated landing pages you could experiment with sharing a single feature to Twitter or even having a Product Hunt launch for a single feature ("Darwin Templates", etc).

      Hey Gabe,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I've spent the last two days brainstorming and thinking of ways I can improve the copy and design from the feedback I've received from a number of places.. all extremely helpful so thank you again :)

      • I've updated the button and copy! What do you think?
      • I would love to and have been trying to create images that scale well. Illustrations are a great idea. Can you please suggest a website that does this or where/how I can create those illustrations of DariwnMail? I would really appreciate your advice here.
      • I love the idea of a dedicated landing page. I've been planning to do this and will get to it very soon. Templates are a prime example and that's one I thought about strongly... great minds think alike :)

      Thanks again, man!

I think the button is a big improvement! It at least does the job of telling me this is for gmail. I’m curious to hear if you see any obvious affect on signups.

Yeah illustrations are hard and I don’t have a great answer. I sometimes use undraw and various free illustration packs. Sometimes you can find an illustration that looks kind of close to the UI/feature you’re referencing.. Another option might be to see if you can zoom in and show off just a portion of the screenshot. Main issue for me was it was just a bit small and hard to identify what was happening.

Thank you so much. Your feedback was invaluable. I really appreciate it.

Perhaps we can chat later and I'll let you know how it affects signups :)

They are indeed! I love undraw and will certainly take a closer look to see if some illustrations match the features DarwinMail offers. I have actually been trying to create the zoom in type images. Something with a spyglass perhaps, as I have seen on other websites. I could just zoom right in a take a screenshot - that would do the trick I think. Watch this space ha ha!

          Thanks again buddy :)

Hah yeah I was thinking spyglass, but wasn’t sure if it would make any sense if I tried to explain that. And likewise, thanks for the feedback on Divjoy the other day! Feel free to DM me anytime.

You're very welcome! Will do, Gabe! Take care.

Hey Joey, it might be good to have a demo of the product. Gmail is like 70% of any founder's business and daily use. It feels like quite a big commitment or big leap to convert into changing our gmail to an entirely different structure. I also have like 300 things to do, so I'll have to come back and review if this app is going to be save me time.

I'm also super worried about privacy, especially going with a small startup. Although i did manage to find your privacy assurance in your FAQ.

Also one big thing I want to add. Much of marketing literature talks about instead of highlighting just features of your app, maybe you should highlight what problems do you solve for me as a user?

"Our users save 5 hours per day from their 10 hr usage"

Like how many hours does it take to learn and set up? How many hours will I save or be more productive?

    Just my feelings here!

    Wonderful work @joeytawadrous

Like your left-to-right price table approach, nice color choice as well!

The only I'd improve is your border system. E.g. text in a button looks very pack, more space?

I'm also improving my site, keen to know your feedback!

I say drift away from the material design style. That will make your app more noticeable and make it more unique. Make DarwinMail more branded.

Will do, thank you for the advice :)
