Hello there.
I came once in a while to ask for feedback about my service and received lot of great feedback I've applied. But, now I'm looking for more.
I'm a podcast lover since the first iPhone release. In 2017 I've launched a product to convert Youtube channels into audio podcasts. My first goal was to listen some great channels while commuting.
I'm a developer for 20 years now and I made this possible with my saas product : Podmytube.com.
Time goes by and the side project has grown. I've 150 channels registered. Problem is most of them are using the free version. The fact is I'm only getting pocket money from this service and I would like to grow it faster.
To help me achieving this goal I'm looking for a business partner who can help me to make this side project a successful one.
I would always manage the technical part but I will let her/him manage the commercial/marketing part as she/he wants.
if you want to help me develop this business, feel free to send me an email, I would be honored !
Have you tried reaching out to other podcast or youtube services that might want to use your tool in partnership?
tubebuddy might even want to acquire it?
ratemypodcast.com might be a good partner as he's a solo maker too.
Having a touch on a youtuber is rather hard. They are receiving a lot of comments/mail/partnership offer from a lot of people.
I have reduced my target audience to the one who are selling something around their youtube channel, but, it stays hard to get them and I prefer to focus on the tech part of the service :).
I meant to partner with other tech, or services that exist. Not reach out to youtubers individually.
TubeBuddy, VidIQ, TuberTools (Nick Nimmin), Roberto Blake, Vid Summit, Podcorn.
I run influenceweekly.co Happy to chat and see if it can be of help to you.
I misread your comment. Actually I have not looked to that side. I will contact you by mail :)
This is very cool! I am also listening to way too much podcasts these days, and I think I need to sometimes slow down and listen to an audiobook instead :)
What is the challenge that Youtubers typically have? Can they not just convert their YT into an audio and upload it to a podcast? What is the process, and what is the challenge?
Hosting a video is easy. Once uploaded on YT all is done.
For a podcast YT does not provide an audio feed (long time ago 5y+ it does).
So for a podcast You have to create your audio file, host it, edit your feed, host it too, register your feed on iTunes (once).
Compare to YT upload process, having a podcast is complicated.
Most of the time Podcast mean something else for a youtuber (standup alone facing camera) and they don't know what's a podcast.
The one who knows what is a podcast don't know about my service.
By the way when they discover it they are pretty happy with Podmytube (my churn is less than 1% for paying customer).
The challenge : everything is to be made for marketing/selling part :)
Awesome - that seems like a great product then :)
I cannot tell ... I wouldn't be objective :)
Are you still up for a partnership?
Yes!
What's your email?
