Co-Founder / Technical Founder - Travel Itinerary Builder

James is planning to go on a two week trip to Iceland, he wants to avoid booking with travel agencies and tour guides as it is expensive, not genuine and he wants to make it his own unique trip. Therefore, James creates his own trip, but to keep track of all the plans, confirmations, and research, he needs a tool that easily puts everything into one clear environment to save time and to make everything organized. Whenever James travels to a place, he wants to be able to make the most out of the trip. He wants to feel confident knowing where to go and doing things that he’s interested in — this is when James finds himself investing a lot of time sitting in front of my computer prior to the trip: doing research and planning an itinerary.

James finds planning a trip a lengthy, time-consuming process. It involves the work of reading countless reviews from fellow travelers and searching for information from numerous travel sites. What makes it even more difficult, is using multiple tools to figure out the best travel routes and putting a schedule together into some type of document.

James wants to keep track of his travel information, dates, bookings, lodging information, simultaneously collaborate with friends, keep track of expenses, and want to have the option to simply forward all his confirmations by email to an environment that automatically syncs it. James wants to know how long it takes per activity to get from point A to B, and what is the most efficient route to help him plan his days. Therefore he is looking actively on Google to find a solution to his problem. A simple Excel or Word file isn't enough as that easily takes up to 6 hours and it simply doesn’t look nice, Google Maps takes a long time as well and doesn’t allow him to collaboratively work on on the trip with friends. He looks for an app that helps him out to save time, work collaboratively, and to organize everything in a nice environment.

I am currently looking for a technical founder, aka, Co-Founder and CTO. The web application needs to be built from scratch, which allows full flexibility. If you're into traveling yourself and have experienced the same pain, you're able to develop a web and mobile application as described below and want to take on a new challenge and adventure in return for equity, then please reach out to me.

The solution is an app that allows James to create efficient travel plans by creating automatic generated efficient day-by-day roadmaps based on James’ his own research and preference, forward activity email confirmations by to automatically create activities for him, automatic airline info retriever, easily adding days of the trip as well as smart activities, individually or with friends or family would save James an awful lot of time and therefore solve his problem by not having to spend too much time in a substitute such as Word or Google Maps which causes him pain.

It also gives James an overview of what he can expect in the time period of travel, which puts his mind to ease so he is assured he can utilize the time he has available for the trip most. Not would it save James just time, he can also sell and share his then created itinerary with all his friends and networks to make money out of it. Not is planning easy and fun and does it visually look fancy, it can be done with friends to make it even more fun, and even help other travelers out.

This app provides James with time efficiency, a fancy overview of activities and days, collaboration possibilities, as well as the possibility to put it on a community marketplace.

An itinerary can be purchased or used for free and totally be amended by the user’s liking in the marketplace.
In each itinerary that is shared publicly, a comment section is available where users of the itinerary can ask questions in regards to the itinerary, and if made for sale, only visible when purchased.

The author can answer the questions so everyone can see. Itineraries can be rated, and users get a rating depending on the number of reviews they have gotten.
The algorithm shows in the itinerary builder first itineraries with a high average number of reviews, and once there are none, everything.

My vision is to start with a freemium model where it's based on a fee for inviting other users to an itinerary and therefore collaboration, getting as much market share as possible from the start, but also with the itineraries sold on the market place.

There is a prototype ready as well as design to work with. It contains all features needed for the MVP.
