Feedback on new product: job board for remote teams

Hi everyone,

I've just launched a new product, RemotelyStack (https://remotelystack.com), an online job board and application tracking system for remote companies.

It would really help me if I could get some initial feedback from the community as to what people think of the design, look and feel – and if possible – the flow as well.

Any feedback, good or bad, will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi Ben

What's your USP? Job boards is a competitive market. When I land here you need to wow me straight away.

    First impressions :

    1. Like the logo
    2. No search / filter
    3. Landing page doesn't wow me. Looks quite bland and dated in style. Especially job list

Are you planning to scrape Jobs?

    1. 1

No, I'm not planning to scrape jobs. It's a free job board with an application process, something not a lot of other sites have and they still charge you a fortune for the privilege of listing your vacancies.

There are a lot of job sites out there, but there are fewer that focus on remote roles, and fewer still that provide an application process that you can use. Most job sites expect you to direct candidates to your site or provide your email address in the description for candidates to forward their CVs and applications.

OK so you're planning to charge customers for the application process?

    1. Your design is not breathing. You don't have enough spacing at the top part of your landing page. As a designer, I feel uncomfortable seeing it. 😅
    2. Your FULL TIME & PART TIME has the same color: Dark grey. Use a different color for FULL TIME and a different color for PART-TIME. It helps us distinguish jobs based on the colors.
    3. Maybe you could add a DESIGN or PRODUCT DESIGN tab in your list of job categories. 😁

    Pros:

    1. Your idea of daily job alert subscriptions on topics is 5⭐. Loved it!
    2. The logo is pretty nice too.

The laptop picture with a guy on a laptop is a bit weird. The "Remote Jobs" div should be centered in the screen. All the Categories seem empty. You need to explain the value of your site over other job searching sites. There is probably "remote" tags or searches I can do on Google jobs or LinkedIn, why should I use RemotelyStack instead?

I'm looking for feedback too, let me know what you think!

Only some of the categories are empty.

Not a lot of sites offer an application process: RemotelyStack does. The problem is getting that message across.

For employers, a lot of sites charge an absolute fortune to list their vacancies. Some charge $499 or more. And for that you often get just a job listing. No candidate application process to help you.

If you added a product to your profile I would be able to give you feedback.

Okay, I would still have at least a few posts in each category so it doesn't look empty. If a big value is the price for listings, make that a big call out. It's currently the smallest text and very miserable. Oh, I'll add it to my profile, but the site is OmniDebate.com, I have a post in this feedback group too

          Yep, I'll do that. Thanks.
