Does anyone curate a regular newsletter for their readers?
I have a sizeable email list of devs/indie makers that I'd like to start providing more value to, so I'm thinking of curating a monthly newsletter.
Have you found that it has been useful for increasing engagement and growing the list?
If you subscribe to lists, what kind of content do you find valuable to receive and how often do you like to receive it?
We curate a weekly developer one. Have done for years, but out of love, not to make money. In doing it, like karma, it has resulted in some wonderful connections. Suggest you go for it, but maybe make it weekly
I think it needs to be weekly. Otherwise, people forget about it, and it comes as a surprise in the inbox.
For me, I enjoy condensed information that I can use to keep up with things. A 2-minute scan of the topic with links to read more on content that interests me.
Monthly is not worth it. 12x a year.
Weekly at least: 52x a year.
Some companies have amazing newsletters:
Later.com and Buffer come to mind.
I started a daily newsletter for my BetterSheets project. It's fantastic.
Weekly would be great, but I don't have the time to commit to a weekly newsletter that is consistent high quality.
